Privacy Policy
Effective: September 9, 2026 · Last updated: September 9, 2026
The short version. This website — signmetry.com — is a store
finder. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no customer data. It sets one
cookie so it can remember which store you picked.
The Signmetry application your store signs in to is a different thing, and most of this policy is about that. It holds real business data — jobs, customers, photos, finances — and each store gets its own separate deployment and its own database.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Signmetry is shop-operations software for sign and print businesses. It is operated by Signarama Temecula ("Signmetry", "we", "us"). This policy covers two distinct surfaces, and it matters which one you are on:
- This website (
signmetry.comandwww.signmetry.com) — a public directory whose only job is to send you to your store's own site. It is described in Section 2. - The Signmetry application, which each store runs at its own address
(for example
yourstore.signmetry.com). It is described in Sections 3 onward.
This policy does not cover the websites or practices of the individual stores that use Signmetry, or of any third-party service we link to.
2. This website: what it collects
The store finder holds no customer records, no store secrets, and no user accounts. Concretely:
- What you type in the search box. Your search term is sent to our server so it can be matched against the list of stores. We do not store search terms, and we do not associate them with you.
- A "remember my store" cookie. When you choose a store, we set a cookie
named
sb_storecontaining only that store's short name (for exampletemecula). It lets us offer a "Continue to…" shortcut on your next visit. It lasts one year, isHttpOnlyandSameSite=Lax, and is not used for tracking or advertising. You can delete it at any time by visiting signmetry.com/forget or clearing cookies in your browser. - An administrator cookie. If you are one of our operators signing in to the
store-provisioning console, a session cookie named
sm_adminis set for 24 hours. It holds an opaque token, not your password. - Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary request information — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
No tracking. This site has no analytics, no advertising or social media pixels, no third-party trackers, and no cross-site profiling. The only cookies it sets are the two functional ones described above.
One third party does see a request from your browser: the page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and user agent in order to serve the font files. No other third-party resources are loaded.
The store directory itself contains only business information — a store's name, city, and web address. It contains no personal information.
3. The Signmetry application: our role
When a store uses Signmetry, that store decides what information goes into the system and why. The store is responsible for its own customer and employee data. We process that data on the store's behalf and under its instructions, to provide and support the software — in the language of California law, we act as a service provider, not as a business selling data.
If you are a customer or employee of a store that uses Signmetry and you want to see, correct, or delete your information, contact that store directly. They control the records. We will support them in responding to you.
Store isolation
Signmetry is not one shared database with a filter over it. Each store runs its own deployment, with its own database, its own login credentials, and its own integration keys. One store's data is not reachable from another store's system.
4. What the application processes
Depending on which features a store turns on, Signmetry may hold:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Customer & job records | Company name, contact name, phone, email, job descriptions, invoice numbers, amounts, due dates, delivery and install details, notes, and status history |
| Estimates & pricing | Quotes, line items, materials and labor pricing, follow-up dates and notes |
| Job photos | Photos taken in the JOBSHOT field app, with the time taken and — where the device permits it — the GPS location of the capture, which is used to match photos to the right job site |
| Staff accounts | Name, email address, role and permissions, position, scheduled time off, in-app messages and notifications, and a cryptographic hash of the password (never the password itself) |
| Activity records | An audit log of significant actions — who changed what, and when — kept for security and accountability |
| Business email | For stores using inbound email processing: sender, recipient, subject, body, and attachments of mail sent to designated shop inboxes, plus extracted vendor invoice details |
| Financial records | For stores connecting their accounts: bank and card transactions, merchant names, balances, and the last four digits of account numbers; payroll totals per pay period, and debts and vendor bills |
Signmetry is a business-operations tool. It is not designed for, and should not be used to store, sensitive categories of personal information such as government identifiers, health information, or biometric data.
5. Why we process it
We process this information only to run the service the store is paying for:
- To provide the scheduling, job tracking, estimating, photo, and reporting features
- To authenticate users, enforce permissions, and keep accounts secure
- To synchronize with the systems a store has chosen to connect (see Section 6)
- To send operational messages a store has configured — reminders, notifications, and customer follow-ups
- To maintain backups, diagnose faults, and provide support
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use one store's business data to build products for anyone else.
6. Who else is involved
Signmetry relies on a small set of service providers. Which ones apply to a given store depends on the integrations that store has enabled.
| Provider | Role |
|---|---|
| Render | Application hosting and data storage |
| Corebridge | Point-of-sale system; orders and customer records sync into Signmetry |
| Plaid | Bank and card connections, via our banking integration, for stores that enable it |
| Gusto | Payroll totals, for stores that enable it |
| Postmark | Sending and receiving application email |
| Anthropic | AI assistance features (drafting, classification, document reading) |
| CompanyCam | Job photos, for stores still on the legacy photo integration |
| Backblaze B2 (or another S3-compatible provider) | Encrypted-in-transit offsite backups |
| Google Fonts | Typefaces on our web pages |
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, our users' safety, or the integrity of the service.
How AI features work
Where a store uses Signmetry's AI features, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic's API through our server — API keys are held server-side and are never exposed to the browser. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. AI features are assistive: their output is reviewed by a person before it is acted on.
Sharing links
A store can generate a link to share a job's photo gallery with its client. Anyone holding that link can view that gallery without signing in, by design. Stores should treat these links as they would any other shareable link.
7. Communications, marketing, and text messages
Marketing and promotional information. We may use personal information to advise the individual concerned of new services and marketing initiatives that we think may be of interest to them, and to provide or offer products, services or other benefits — sent through email or newsletters. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we act on those requests promptly.
We do not send promotional or marketing content by SMS. Text messages are used only for transactional and operational purposes — for example a job status update, an appointment or installation reminder, or a notice that an order is ready for pickup. Promotional offers, newsletters, and marketing campaigns are sent through email or newsletters only, never by text message.
Your mobile information stays with us. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are disclosed only to the messaging provider that delivers a message on our behalf, and only for that purpose.
Opting out. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them, or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.
8. How we protect it
- Encryption in transit. All traffic to Signmetry is served over HTTPS.
- Password security. User passwords are stored only as
scrypthashes. Session cookies are cryptographically signed, and password-reset links are stored only as hashes and expire. - Access control. Accounts carry roles and permissions; administrative functions are restricted, and significant actions are written to an audit log.
- Separation. Each store's data lives in its own database on its own deployment, with its own credentials.
- Backups. Databases and uploaded files are backed up nightly to offsite storage, with roughly the last two weeks of daily database snapshots retained.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects a store's data, we will notify that store promptly and support their own notification obligations.
9. How long we keep it
- Store business records are retained for as long as the store's account is active, or until the store deletes them. Stores control their own records.
- Backups roll off on the schedule in Section 8, so deleted records may persist in backup snapshots for a short period after deletion.
- Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
- The
sb_storecookie on this website expires after one year, or when you clear it.
When a store ends its use of Signmetry, we will delete or return its data on request, subject to any legal retention requirements and to backup rotation.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
California residents. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We handle personal information in the Signmetry application only as a service provider to the store, for the business purposes described in Section 5.
How to exercise them. If your information is in a store's Signmetry system, contact that store — they hold and control those records, and we will assist them in responding. For anything relating to this website, or if you cannot identify the right store, contact us using the details in Section 13.
11. Children
Signmetry is business software intended for use by employees and business contacts. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child's information has reached us, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will notify the stores using Signmetry directly.
